The Spencer Lacrosse Club was formed in 2000 through the merger of the Kenton and Beckenham Lacrosse Clubs. Spencer brings together the best of the old Kenton and Beckenham clubs – a tradition of playing hard on the pitch, with a friendly and relaxed atmosphere in the clubhouse.
When do we train or play lacrosse?
Lacrosse is a winter sport in the UK. The season runs from October to April. League and cup games are on Saturday’s normally starting at 2pm. Most games are played on grass fields. A few clubs play on astroturf fields.
In-season club training, on the Spencer astroturf is Monday evenings 7:30 – 9:00pm for the seniors and Friday evenings 6.30 – 8.00pm for the juniors.
How to Join the Club
Step 1 – Come down, join in and meet us
Joining the club is easy. We recognise lacrosse may be a new sport to some so we always welcome new faces to join us for practice sessions, social events and non-competitive games. Then, if you like what you see, you just need to complete the relevant membership form. Those aged under 18 need to complete the relevant Junior Membership Form, available on the same page.
Once accepted by the club, an annual membership subscription must be paid. This covers the majority of running costs for the club, e.g. league fees and coaching.
