Compton Cup 2026: Register your interest (now open)

Each year, Spencer hosts Spencer Day, a pre-season 8s tournament competing for the Compton Cup, featuring both Men’s and Women’s teams.

In 2025, we welcomed 11 men’s teams and 11 women’s teams, making for a competitive and well-balanced day of lacrosse. We welcomed teams of varying levels, with tiered tournament style meaning everyone gets a good number of games to compete. 

For 2026 we’re looking to open this up to and encourage university teams to send a team along, which would be a great part of preseason BUCS training. 

While we don’t typically run a mixed tournament due to limited entries, we’re always open to interest - if numbers allow, we’ll look to include it.

Entry Fees

• £185 – first team

• £165 – additional teams

• £165 – University teams

If your club is short on numbers, or you’re unattached and would be keen to play,  get in touch— we can try to help form teams from individual players/groups (£20pp).

Individuals who have signed up to Spencer Membership will see details and be put in teams separately, which can also apply if you’re planning to join!

Event Details

Final timings will be confirmed once entries are in. As a guide, in 2025:

• First games: 9:30am

• Finals completed by: 4:00pm

• Followed by prizegiving and drinks

The Spencer clubhouse will be open throughout the day, with a BBQ and bar available for post-game food and drinks.
