A comfortable win for the unbeaten 2’s up in Welwyn. The East Div 1 leaders started in top form scoring at will during the 1st quarter. This was made even more pleasing considering the squad was only 10 players with 3 running late, plus this was not a full strength squad, not by a long way.

As the game progressed, the pace and quality from the visitors dropped. The really heavy pitch drained the legs and even when Spencer had a subs bench in the second half, the zip from the first quarter was proving tricky to reproduce.

The result was never in doubt as Welwyn had little offensive threat but ran hard all game. All eyes on next weeks game as the top two, Spencer 2’s and Reading 2’s do battle at Spencer.
