A junior team from the Talbot club based out of Easton, Maryland, USA, hooked up with the Spencer juniors as part of their UK tour. They arrived on 30th June with a schedule of five games/tournaments, sight seeing and other non-lacrosse activities before returning to the states on 11th July.
The lacrosse schedule was as follows;
- 2nd July – Tournament in Reading
- 4th July – vs. Buckhurst Hill
- 6th July – vs. Welwyn/Hitchin
- 8th July – vs. Spencer
- 10th July – Mixed Game
We don’t have all the score available at the moment but they won all their games pretty convincingly with Spencer taking them to their closest game.

By all accounts the guys from Talbot had a great time in the UK and I think plans for our juniors to visit them next year are taking shape.
